Rooftops are my favorite and so is Cindy's Rooftop! The view is spectacular and so is the food and the restaurant. I had the braised short rib, the Kokomo and the beet which did not disappoint. Our server Anthony was very helpful with the recommendations. This is a must try when visiting the Chicago area.

Atmosphere is amazing, the place is very open with lots of natural sunlight. The patio has a good amount of space with a gorgeous view of the city and lake. We came here just for drinks. They have a large selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. The price is what you expect for this type of bar/restaurants. We got 4 glasses of wine total and the bill was 100 dollars with tip. Service was kind. Nothing too special. Long wait to actually get up to the bar. Overall, it is worth to visit this spot to get a drink and show friends who are visiting from out of town.

A trip to Chicago is not complete without visiting Cindy's Rooftop. The ambiance is lively, with a wonderful view of Millennium Park and The Bean. It can get very busy, however you can still walk in without reservation. Bar seating is on a first come, first serve. You can order your drinks at the bar and take it with outside and enjoy the view. The drinks are crafted well, the menu offers elevated comfort food. The service is exceptional.

I recently visited Cindy's for the first time while my parents were in town, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice, since they were staying at the Chicago Athletic Association downstairs. The convenience of the elevator made access seamless. Even without a reservation, you are able to walk in, grab seats at the bar, and take drinks outside to enjoy the breathtaking views. On a Sunday evening, both the bar and outdoor patio had a relaxed atmosphere, making it a great option for walk-ins. We however did make a reservation and had a great table with a couch for five. We started with drinks, I got an espresso martini and a dirty gin martini, both of which were excellent, with the dirty martini perfectly balanced and served with delicious olives. For appetizers, we ordered the burrata, oysters, chilled lobster and crab, and grilled gem lettuce. While everything was well-executed, the burrata and chilled lobster and crab stood out as must-tries. For mains, I had the half chicken, which was cooked perfectly and paired with a flavorful sauce. My mom opted for the branzino, which she enjoyed, though I personally preferred the chicken. While the entrées were solid, I felt the appetizers were the real highlight of the meal. Overall, Cindy's is an excellent spot for drinks with stunning views. While the dinner menu is on the pricier side and not necessarily a culinary revelation, it's still a great experience for a rooftop bar in a hotel. The cocktails and appetizers shine, making it an ideal place to grab a drink and soak in the scenery. I'd definitely return for the views and drinks alone!

Had a lovely birthday dinner here. The rooftop boasts stunning views of Millennium Park. The food was surprisingly exceptional. They had an exquisite handmade lamb bolognese gnocchi as a special. It was decadent and each bite was heavenly. The Burrata appetizer ($21) and Short Rib ($46) were also outstanding - the short rib portion was enormous - definitely split this! To top off the meal was a delicious, rich pot de crème with a "Happy Birthday" chocolate piece and a candle. The interior is elegant and the staff are attentive and courteous.

I recently had the chance to take my out-of-town coworkers from China to Cindy's Rooftop, and overall, it was a memorable experience. The views were absolutely stunning per usual. For my coworkers, who were seeing the city for the first time, the rooftop setting really made an impression. However, while the ambiance and scenery were top-notch, there was a bit of a hiccup with the service. We ordered five lattes, and it took a full 30 minutes to receive them. It quickly became clear that since Cindy's is more of a cocktail and bar coffee orders seemed a bit out of the ordinary for the staff. The lattes themselves were nothing special--certainly not worth the wait. I understand that Cindy's might not typically focus on coffee, so the delay wasn't the biggest deal, but if you're planning on going for a casual drink or coffee break, it's probably better to stick to cocktails or something more in line with their usual offerings. That said, if you're after amazing views and a great atmosphere, Cindy's Rooftop is still a solid choice. Just maybe skip the coffee if you're in a hurry!

For the number of times I have been here, I have no idea why I have not written a review for this joint. The Doctor and I have been here multiple times and simply love the view. Full disclosure, I have never been here at night as I do not want to do with the crowds. We usually try to come here when we know we can get a table on the balcony and watch the view of the city, which is amazing. In full disclosure, the food is not what gets me into Cindy's. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and I love it. But if I never eat there, I would still love coming here to have drinks, chat with The Doctor and take in that view of the city. The wine list is solid for sure when it comes to sparkling. I don't do reds or still wines for the most part, so I can't speak to those, But the sparkling and champagnes on the menu are very good. Prices are decent for what is being served downtown. Cocktails (per The Queen) were delish, but be warned that they are about $18 each. My recommendation is to get a reservation on a nice day, get drinks and have a good time chatting and chat that view.

I've been hearing about Cindy's for quite some time, mostly due to its incredible view and drinks, so I decided to make a reservation for my husband's birthday dinner. The experience lived up to the hype! The view was impressive, offering a great vantage point of Millennium Park's Christmas tree, the Bean, and the ice rink, though it did get a little crowded at times. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We started with the salmon and green berg lettuce salad, which turned out to be one of my favorite dishes of the night. The salmon was perfectly cooked--flaky and tender--and the salad was delightfully crispy with a harmonious blend of flavors that complemented the fish beautifully. We also ordered a baked potato on the side, which was a real treat. It had just the right amount of melted cheese and was baked to perfection, soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. For our entrees, we chose the half-roasted chicken and the short ribs. Both were cooked with care--the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauces that accompanied both dishes were rich and packed with depth, really enhancing the flavors. The cocktails were refreshing too. To top off the evening, when the staff learned we were celebrating a birthday, they brought out a lovely chocolate mousse cake with whipped cream. It was not only a sweet gesture but also delicious, offering the perfect ending to a memorable celebration. Overall, Cindy's provided a wonderful dining experience with great food, a beautiful view, and thoughtful touches that made my husband's birthday feel even more special.

This place is stunning, with modern, large glass windows that open up to a fantastic view of Chicago! A lot of Yelpers say that the wait is worth it due to the view and vibes. Luckily for my friend and me, we sat down right away and arrived when they just opened. Fifteen minutes go by, and this place is popping and filling up just as expected. I recommend coming for the views and getting drinks at their outside bar because their food was just okay for us. My buddy enjoyed his Korean Fried Sandwich, but the fries and Chef's Salad could have been better. I got the job done, but I can tell they are not known for their food. The service here is unbeatable, though, and was probably the best service I've had at a restaurant for all of 2024. One gulp of my water, and the waiter was on his way to fill it up. They filled up my glass about every 10 minutes, and I loved it.
